Cool, this finally fixed my problem. It appeared to be solved after I installed KB943729 a week or so ago, but the problem came back. Your solution appears to have fixed it. Although I do most design work in Blend, not having intellisense in the Visual Studio xaml editor really sucked.

Many thanks!

Thanks, this fixed me, too. I sent ExactMagic a bugreport on it, though this may be a bug in VS2008 instead, as I read that someone else had the problem because of another addin.

I had the same problem and after reading your blog entry here I realized that I recently installed the Regionerate add-in for VS2008. After changing the add-in manager settings to not load it at startup and restarting Visual Studio, my designer now loads just fine.

I had also previously installed and uninstalled .NET 3.5 SP1. Not sure if that's related or not.

Thanks for the info... it definitely saved me some time.
